The Public Commissioner within the legal time limit, filed an appeal at the Appeal Chamber by the Constitutional Court, against the Decision no. 112/2019, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the subject of re-evaluation Mr. Dritan Peka, prosecutor, and head of the Prosecution Office of the Appeal Court, Tiranë.
The Public Commissioner, as reviewed the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission, based on the evidences and the facts administrated by the Independent Qualification Commission, for the subject of re-evaluation, Mr. Dritan Peka, does not meet the condition on the confirmation in duty.
Through this appeal, the Public Commissioner requests from the Appeal Chamber to consider the case at the public hearing, and at the end of the hearing, to amend the Decision no.112/2019, of the Independent Qualification Commission, deciding to dismiss from office the subject of re-evaluation, Mr. Dritan Peka.

The Institution of Public Commissioners has been established and operates under Article 179/b the Annex of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania and Law No. 84/2016, “On the Transitional Re-evaluation of Judges and Prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”.
