The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber while continued the judicial review of the appeal filed against the Decision no. 183/2019, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the subject of re-evaluation, Mr. Petrit Çano, prosecutor/Head of the Prosecution Office of the First Instance Court, Krujë.
After verifying the parties’ presence in the hearing, the presiding judge invited the Public Commissioner and the subject of re-evaluation to present the final conclusions.
The Public Commissioner in his submission assessed that referring to the analysis of the evidence administrated by the Independent Qualification Commission also the evidence and acts administrated during the trial of the case in the Appeal Chamber; in the overall case assessment the subject of re-evaluation has violated the public trust in the justice system. In sustaining his seeking appeal, the Public Commissioner requested the amendment of the decision no. 183/2019, of the Independent Qualification Commission, and the dismissal from office of the subject of re-evaluation, Mr. Petrit Çano, prosecutor/Head of the Prosecution Office of the First Instance Court, Krujë.
The subject of re-evaluation also through the legal representative claimed the opposite of the Public Commissioner’s appeal grounds and requested his confirmation in office.
The adjudication panel after hearing the final conclusions withdrew to take a decision, which will be announced in the following hearing held on September 21, 2021, at 15:00 p.m.
