The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber while initiated the judicial review of the appeal filed against the Decision no. 410/2021, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the assessee, Mrs. Atalanta Zeqiraj, judge at Vlora Judicial District Court.

During the verification of the parties’ presence in the hearing, the assessee requested to be represented during the trial by a legal representative, then the hearing further continued with the submissions of the appeal grounds by the Public Commissioner and of the assessee’s submissions as well.

The Public Commissioner standing by all the appeal grounds, also in consideration of the Recommendation of the International Monitoring Operation, to file appeal, assessed that according to the content of the decision reasoning of the Independent Qualification Commission, several issues emerge for resolving and orientation, which might be firmly important to unifying and evaluation of similar cases,  and therefore, deemed necessary for the review and resolving of this case to be carried out by the Chamber , in addition, at the end of the case , to alternatively decide the upholding or amending the decision no. 410/2021, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the assessee Mrs. Atalanta Zeqiraj.

The assessee in the objections of the appeal grounds, requested the reopening of the investigation, the administration of new evidence and her reconfirmation in office.

The adjudication panel, after consultation, decided to reopen the judicial investigation and to accept the new evidence, filed by the assessee at the Appeal Chamber.

Subsequently, the presiding judge, after requesting the parties whether or not they had other procedural requests due to the case review, informed that the panel on the spot consultation decided to close the judicial investigation and to adjourn the following hearing on May 13, 2022, at 9.00 a.m., to be presented the final conclusions.
