The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber while continuing the judicial review of the appeal filed against Decision no. 264/2020, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the assessee, Mrs. Elona Toro, judge at Tirana Court of Appeals.
After verifying the parties’ presence in the hearing, the presiding judge invited the Public Commissioner and the assessee to present their final conclusions.
The Public Commissioner, during the conclusions, found that the assessee managed to prove only one of the appeal grounds, concluding that the assessee and the related persons are found in insufficient conditions regarding the asset assessment criterion. The Public Commissioner asked the panel for the amendment of the decision no. 264/2020, of the Independent Qualification Commission, and the dismissal from office of the assessee, Mrs. Elona Toro.
The assessee from her position objected to the conclusions of the Public Commissioner and asked the panel for her reconfirmation in office.
The adjudication panel, after becoming acquainted with the conclusions of the parties, deliberated in the consulting room to take the final decision, which will be announced on February 2, 2023, at 13:00.
