The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber, while continued the judicial review of the appeal filed against the Decision no. 90/2018, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the subject of re-evaluation Mr. Adnand Kosova, magistrate/prosecutor, at the General Prosecution Office.

During the hearing session, the Public Commissioner stood to the grounds of the appeal and by request of the adjudication panel referred the public denunciations, lodged by the Institution of the Public Commissioners, after the appeal. The Public Commissioner acquainted the adjudication panel with the alleged information in the denunciation regarding the blood ties of the subject of re-evaluation with two persons with criminal precedents.

The subject of re-evaluation through his attorney presented his opinion related to the grounds of the appeal and the information concerning to the public denunciations, whereby he stated they were not required at the time he had filled out the “Background Assessment Declaration “.

Following deliberations, the adjudication panel, for the purpose of the examination of the relevant case, decided to seek additional information to the General Prosecution Office and Special Prosecution Office against Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) with regard to the alleged facts in the public denunciation, referred by the Public Commissioner.

The next hearing session shall be held on February 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
