On June 30, 2021, at end of the respective hearing session, the Independent Qualification Commission decided on the confirmation in duty of the subject of re-evaluation, Mrs. Atalanta Zeqiraj, judge at Vlora Court of First Instance.
The decision no. 410/2021, of the Independent Qualification Commission, was notified to the Public Commissioners today on 17.09.2021.
Also today, September 17, 2021, the International Monitoring Operation (IMO) submitted to the Public Commissioners the recommendation to appeal the decision to the Appeal Chamber.
The Public Commissioners are simultaneously reviewing the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission and the recommendation of the International Monitoring Operation.
Based on point 1, Article 63, of law no.84/2016 “On the Transitional Re-evaluation of Judges and Prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, the Public Commissioners, has the right to appeal the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission to the Appeal Chamber, within 15 days as of the notification.
