The Public Commissioner within the legal time limit filed an appeal at the Appeal Chamber by the Constitutional Court against Decision no. 767/2024, of the Independent Qualification Commission, pertaining to the assessee, Mrs. Sofia Zhilla, former inspector at the former High Council of Justice.
Upon reviewing the decision no. 767/2024, of the Independent Qualification Commission, the Public Commissioner, deems that the decision of the Commission is unfair, is not based on the documented factual situation presented in the file, and lacks support in the applicable constitutional and legal framework.
The Public Commissioner requests that the appeal grounds be considered by the Appeal Chamber and, at the end of the case review, to amend the decision no. 767/2024, of the Independent Qualification Commission, deciding the interruption of the re-evaluation process against the assessee, Mrs. Sofia Zhilla, and she may no longer be appointed a judge or prosecutor of any level, as a member of the High Judicial Council or High Prosecutorial Council, or the High Inspectorate of Justice or the Prosecutor General for a duration of 15 years.
