Today, the Public Commissioner appeared before the Appeal Chamber to proceed with the judicial review of the appeal against Decision no. 537/2022 of the Independent Qualification Commission regarding the assessee Mr. Florian Bonjaku, serving as a prosecutor at the Prosecution Office of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Krujë.
During the verification of the parties’ presence at the hearing, the presiding judge invited the parties to present their final arguments.
The Public Commissioner, adhering to the submissions presented during the previous hearing, requested that the Appeal Chamber conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the case and to decide the amendment of Decision No. 537 /2022, of the Independent Qualification Commission, thereby the dismissal from office the assessee, Mr. Florian Bonjaku.
The assessee, through his legal representative, opposed the Public Commissioner’s final request, arguing the contrary of the findings regarding assets, background, and professional competencies. In conclusion, the assessee requested the upholding of decision no. 537/2022, issued by the Independent Qualification Commission concerning his confirmation in office.
After hearing the parties’ final arguments, the adjudicating panel withdrew to deliberate on the final decision, which will be announced on December 19, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
