The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber while initiated the judicial review against the decision no. 161/2019, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the subject of re-evaluation Mr. Kastriot Selita, judge / President of the Administrative Court of Appeal, Tirana.
The presiding judge, after verifying the presence of the parties in the hearing, announced the new composition of the adjudication panel and confirmed with the parties in the process their acquaintance related to the public denunciations recently filed by the Appeal Chamber.
The Public Commissioner, in submitting the appeal, sustained all the appeal grounds and pointed out the neediness for each of them to a comprehensive re-evaluation of the case by the Appeal Chamber.
The subject of the re-evaluation, in his stance, rebutted all the appeal grounds with the claims that it was an appropriate assessment over the three re-evaluation criteria and considered as unfounded the claims emerged from the public denunciations. In conclusion of his defence, the subject of the re-evaluation requested to the adjudication panel to administer in the quality of evidence the acts referred to by him in the hearing session.
The Public Commissioner, questioned by the presiding judge about his standpoint, requested the necessary time to get acquainted with the content of the acts lodged by the subject of the re-evaluation and the objections related to the public denunciations.
The adjudication panel, on-the-spot consultation, in order to provide time to the Public Commissioner to give his standpoint on the public denunciations filed by the Appeal Chamber along with the content of the new acts, lodged by the subject of the re-evaluation, decided to adjourn the hearing on April 1,2021, at 10:00 a.m.
