The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber while continued the judicial review of the appeal filed against the Decision no. 241/2020, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the assessee, Mrs. Irena Gjoka, judge, at the First Instance Court for Serious Crimes, at present the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime.

After verifying the presence of the parties in the hearing, the presiding judge invited the Public Commissioner and the assessee to present the final conclusions.

The Public Commissioner firstly presented the findings related to the evidence and objections administered at the Chamber during the judicial investigation and at the closure of the final conclusions estimated that upon the conditions when the investigation was exhaustive and comprehensive also based on new evidence administered during the case review,  the assessee achieves a trustable level regarding the asset assessment criterion and based on Article F point 7 of the Annex of the Constitution and Article 59 point 1 of law 84/2016, requested to the adjudication panel to uphold the decision no. 241/2020 of the Independent Qualification Commission for the assessee Mrs. Irena Gjoka.

The assessee, through her the legal representative, stated the final conclusions and at the end requested the upholding of the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission for her confirmation in office.

The adjudication panel, after becoming acquainted with the final conclusions of the Public Commissioner and of the assessee, withdrew to the deliberation room to determine on the final decision, which will be announced on June 14, 2022, at 9:00 a.m.
