The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber continuing the judicial review of the appeal filed against the Decision no. 491/2021, of the Independent Qualification Commission, of the assessee, Mr. Gjon Kodra, prosecutor of Tirana District Prosecution Office.
During the verification of the parties’ presence in the hearing, the presiding judge informed that the Public Commissioner had filed at the Chamber the full financial analysis of the asset assessment criterion, according to the interim decision of the preliminary hearing, and invited the assessse to present his stance.
The assessee through the legal representative expressed that the inaccuracies in the declaration of asset, mostly have do with the related person should not be taken into consideration, and that according to him, the Public Commissioner’s conclusion is fair and based into evidence.
Afterwards the assessse responded to the questions conducted by the International Observer related to the background criterion.
After having consulted in the deliberation room, the adjudication panel requested the opinion of the parities over the public denunciations filed in the Chamber.
The Public Commissioner assessed that based on the content of the afore-mentioned denunciations did not constitute grounds necessary for the investigation. Whereas the assesse addressed to the court whether they would further evaluate to investigate or not the claims arisen from the public denunciations.
The adjudication panel designated to verify in source the information whereby the finding of the International Observer is based on, consequently announced the hearing adjournment on July 22, at 8:30 a.m.
