The Public Commissioner was present today at the Appeal Chamber to continue the judicial review of the appeal filed against the Decision no. 592/2022, of the Independent Qualification Commission, for the assessee, Mr. Erion Pano, prosecutor at Tirana District Prosecution Office, and currently assigned to the position of Counselor at the High Prosecutorial Council.
After verifying the parties’ attendance at the hearing, the presiding judge invited the litigants to present the conclusive discussions.
The Public Commissioner, adhering to all the appeal grounds and the submissions during the case review to the Chamber, concluded that the assessee failed to prove the contrary of the appeal grounds and, therefore is found in the conditions of the inaccuracy and insufficiency of the asset declaration. At the end of the conclusive discussions, the Public Commissioner requested the panel to amend the decision no. 592/2022, of the Independent Qualification Commission, and the dismissal from office of the assessee, Mr. Erion Pano.
Through the legal representative, the assessee requested his confirmation in office, claiming at the same time the country of the relevant findings in the appeal.
Subsequently, the adjudication panel withdrew to the consultation chamber to reach the final decision, which will be announced on April 15, 2024.
